Class: Tai Chi Ruler (#386214.00 – Senior Center)

July 22 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am MDT

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Monday, repeating until August 26, 2019

The Tai Chi Ruler class is open to anyone – beginner or advanced Tai Chi students.  This is a 12 week class, from June 3 2019 to August 26 2019, which meets every Monday from 9:30-10:30am at the Longmont Senior Center in Longmont, CO.  A Tai Chi ruler is required ($34.95), and may be purchased via our online store.

If you’ve been taking the Tai Chi for Balance class, or the previous Qigong classes, this will continue your journey into the land of Qi.  The Tai Chi Ruler is a rare and ancient form of Qigong. It is based on a wooden dowel whose shape is taken from early Chinese sword handles. In the center of the ruler is the Pearl. The Pearl is a sphere that helps the practitioner concentrate and focus on Qi as it moves throughout the body. Like many Tai Chi forms, Ruler movements produce benefits several layers deep. The benefits include deeper, more beneficial breathing, better balance, muscle tone, and internal organ massage all rolled into simple, gentle movements.

$35.00 for Longmont city residents, $41.00 for non-residents. A Tai Chi ruler is required ($34.95), and may be purchased via our online store. To register, please visit the Longmont Senior Center website and inquire about class #386214.00 and/or search for “tai chi ruler.”
